Getting started with exploRUG.net

If you are provided with a username and password, enter in the corresponding boxes in the login page, and click on login (or press Enter).

If you do not have a username or password, you can still click on the guest button to access to a limited number of default designs and rooms.

Once you click on either of the buttons, you should get a window like this:

If you do not see this window, then you are missing some of the prerequisites to run exploRUG.net. The site will give you a message telling which prerequisites are missing.

Once you meet these prerequisites, please login again. This time, you should see the window shown above. The window appears for some time, and then disappears as explorug.net starts, showing you this splash screen:

If you are running explorug.net for the first time, it will take some time to download the designs and rooms that your vendor has hosted for you to see. Depending upon the number of designs and rooms that the vendor has hosted, the time you have to wait varies. This is a one-time download, so explorug.net will start faster in future sessions.

Once explorug.net finishes downloading the designs, the main window appears, and you can start using explorug.net. In some cases, the main window does not appear in the front, but you can see the tab in the taskbar. Click on the tab and the application will appear in front.
